One more knit before I go...

Sadly I lost the first jumper I knit for my iPod on the bus, I hope whoever found it gave it another iPod to hug! This is my replacement jumper, I like it!

Apologies...

To all of those lovely people who stop by every now and then to read this little blog of mine I apologise. You may well have noticed I have been a little...or a lot rubbish at updating recently, I choose to use the excuse of being busy although I'm sure a hint a laziness also had something to do with it! To those who don't know I am off to do a bit of traveling, starting in Thailand then heading to Australia, New Zealand and finally Fiji, lucky Me! I have spent the past fews weeks getting ready and well...freaking out a bit hence the absence of bloggage. I leave this friday (new years eve!) and intend to turn this into a bit of a travel blog. I will update when I can so that those of you who are interested can see what I have been up to, which will probably only be my 6 year old cousin Sammy (Hi Sammy!)

Riitta Ikonen...

I recently came across the London based artist Riitta Ikonen, she has done some really nice stuff. I love her 'Mail Art' project, Riitta who is also an illustration tutor at the University of Brighton set her students a task to send one postcard a week documenting their experiences of their summer holidays. Recent Times...

Getting up early isn't always such a bad thing...

Last week I got into the city way too early for my 7am shift so had a bit of a wander. The sun was rising and the reflection of the sky in the buildings was beautiful, I'm really going to miss London! Appologies for the shit photo, it really does not do justice to what I saw but only had the camera on my phone to hand!

It's Business Time...

I've been playing about with business card ideas and decided to go a bit green innit'. Using some old curtains, cereal boxes and my stamp, not bad I think.

My New Toy...

I recently bought myself a knitting machine, just need to figure out how to use it! Much thanks to my friend Andrew for helping me get it back to my house!

Spoon jewellery...

Whilst in Liverpool Ilsa and I also played about with spoons to see what products we could make from them. We made this ring which I love! One of the teaspoons had a really nice image in the spoon so we filled it with wax then covered the wax in resin to make the jewel and attached it to another teaspoon which we had flattened and bent into shape, it has barely left my finger since!

This weekend my friend Ilsa and I got to make a window display for the Can Cook Cookery School pop up shop in Liverpool. It was lots of fun and looks pretty cool too! Check out their website www.cancook.co.uk

I recently purchased this little cutie! It's amazing, you can't be sad when someone is playing a ukulele, although my fingers are sad with all the blisters!

The size of London and I moved about 1 minute down the road, oh well as adventurous as that was I am pleased I moved here, loving having a garden in the summer

I like to steal fancy teaspoons...

I have a thing about fancy teaspoons and whenever given one in a cafe I can't help but slip them into my bag! I am going to put them into use eventually but for the minute I've taken to hanging them on my wall with the help of all the knitted squares I have gathered through practising. Not your usual wall hanging but I quite like them.

I got an update from jealous laptop and turns our he is not so jealous anymore just a little bit too warm!

Someones laptop got a wee bit jealous of how toasty my iPod was so I knit it its very own jumper, just hope it fits, kind of guessed the size but baggy jumpers are the best I think!

So after PLENTY of practise and an unnecessary amount of knitted squares I finally got round to knitting something properly and now my iPod has its own cosy jumper! I don't think I have ever been so proud of a button hole!
